A Treat From The Family Patriarch

Through the collaboration between the management team of b.a. Sweetie Candy Company, Hospice of the Western Reserve, and Hit Your Mark Productions, the dream of the 80-year-old patriarch to give his 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren the candy shopping spree of a lifetime, was made possible.

Hospice of the Western Reserve wrapped their arms around the family through their Special Care Fund, which made comfortable travel possible for the family patriarch.  Hospice of the Western Reserve nurse Wendy Miano provided additional care to the family by helping get the family patriarch cleaned up and ready for day.

Once at b.a. Sweeties Candy Company, Hit Your Mark Productions facilitated the execution of signature ice cream sundaes being purchased for all 55 members of the family, spanned over multiple generations. Once everyone had gotten their sweet treat, Hospice of Western Reserve veteran volunteer Annette Reichman conducted a private Veterans Recognition Ceremony to honor the patriarchs 20 years of service with the Ohio National Guard where he served as an Ambulance Platoon Sergeant for the 200th Medical Company.
